1.  What makes CamLink unique?

CamLink is the leader in Mazatrol support off-line, and has been since 1984! Mazatrol is our specialty. We run Mazaks, so we understand the needs of your machine shop, and continually develop products to meet those needs. CamLink operates in thousands of machine shops around the world.

2.  How do I know what products to order?

One of CamLink's great features is its building-block system. Starting with GB\DataTransfer, you add products as you need them. Call our sales department at 541.758.8421 to find out how to customize our products to fit your needs.

3.  How much does the software cost?

Pricing is dependent on the Mazak control types you have in your shop, the product capabilities you need, and the number of users you want to access the program. We don't make you buy a bundled software package full of programs that add no value to your operations. Call our sales department at 541.758.8421 for a custom quotation.

5.  How long does it take to receive an order?

Standard software orders generally ship within 72 hours of receipt and approval. Specialty software packages, such as network versions, generally ship within five business days. In-stock hardware can ship same day on orders received by 12 p.m. Pacific Time. Custom hardware orders generally require a two week lead time.

6.  Do I need to add any hardware to my PC or Mazak?

All you need to communicate between the PC and your Mazak is a RS232 cable and our CamLink software. The cable plugs into the serial port on your PC and the CMT port on your Mazak. If you have more than one Mazak, you simply run a switchbox between the machines.

7.  How many PCs can I run with your product?

We have a stand-alone product that enables you to access CamLink from a single PC. You can load the software onto multiple PCs; however, it will only run on the PC on which the module (security device) is attached.

We also have a network version available that provides multiple users concurrent access to all licensed CamLink programs. The network version can be configured in a variety of formats to meet your needs.

8.  Do you offer a service contract?

When you license our CamLink software, you receive technical support via phone, fax or e-mail, and program updates upon request, for one full year! After the first year, you can reinstate your support on an annual basis for a nominal fee.

9.  Will I need training?

CamLink is simple to use, and has virtually no learning curve. If you are familiar with standard Windows functions, and can program Mazatrol at your machine, you can easily program with CamLink at your PC.

In addition, all software ships with a comprehensive manual on CD that contains tutorials on the more advanced products such as GB\GeoEntry M. Training is available, however, on a per need basis. For additional information, please call us at 541.758.8421 to make special arrangements.

10.  Can I copy the software?

Licensing of our products is limited to the original user. Our software is protected by coded security modules and coded software. Therefore, it will not run without having the security module attached to the corresponding PC. Certainly, you can make a copy of the software for backup purposes, but it will not run without the security device.

11.  Can I get extra modules?

The security modules are worth the value of the system. Therefore, in order to obtain extra modules, you need to license an additional system. It is important that you take the necessary security measures to protect the module(s) that accompany your original software order. For multiple user access to the system, a network version would be applicable.
